Victorian Lamp in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington

Turn of the century electrified Victorian style parlor lamp. In 1880 technology was changing but styles were yet to catch up. This lamp represents the early adoption of electricity in a Victorian style kerosene lamp. Milk glass shade decorated with colorful hanging prisms. Working counterweight provides easy adjustment of the lamp up or down from the ceiling. Recently rewired replacing the worn cloth insulated wires with modern wiring. A symbol of American history that will adorn any turn of the century home.
